Don’t throw a Tree, Throw a Wood: The Lawn Bowls Battle of The Clans

Clan Cunningham is proud to announce that we are one of the co-organisers of The Battle of the Clans, a fun gathering where we mere mortals can compete in the Scottish games of Lawn Bowls, Golf, Football, and Curling.

Call us crazy, but we plan to create regional events all around the world, where the clans can come together and compete at all levels in what we hope will be a fun day out.

But we need help. To organise these competitions we will need help, a lot of help. So, we are reaching out to our readers to help organise the first regional competitions.

If you want to take part, contact us to register your club or your team, and we can let others known where you plan to compete. 

At first these competitions will be small, but if we bring the hospitality and the fun that we Scots are famous for, this event could rapidly grow.

The first events are already being planned in America, with the inaugural Lawn Bowling competition being co-hosted by Palo Alto Lawn Bowling Club and Santa Clara Lawn Bowling Club, where we will be seeing people throwing a wood not a tree.
