In this review, Dr. Derek Cunningham analyses the names from three ancient tales to link together the Vikings with the ancient Kingdoms of Strathclyde and Lindsay. The analysis suggests Malcolm of Strathclyde fled to Grimsby in Lincolnshire, before being taken prisoner by King Gunnar of Iceland. He was then released and became King of Strathclyde in the late 10th century.
