This weekend, the 20th of August, there are countless Scottish Highland games around the world.
In America in Maine families can visit the St Andrews Society Highland games, in Colorado the new Thornton Highland and Celtic Festival, and in Hamilton, MT The 13th Bitterroot Celtic Games
In Canada the Edmonton Highland Gathering, and the Ontario National Capital Highland games.
And in Scotland there is the Bute, Crieff (which will be celebrating its 70th anniversary), Helsmdale, Stirling and Nairn Highland games.
So get out your kilts, and your bagpipes and have fun tossing a caber or two. Just don’t complain that there is nothing to do.
